Flight Analyser data analytics to support operational safety

During HAI Heli-Expo 2019, Airbus Helicopters launched its new analytics service Flight Analyser which supports operational safety by analysing aircraft data post-flight to identify risks before they lead to incidents.

Flight Analyser helicopter flight data monitoring (HFDM) analyses multiple data recorded during the flight:

  • • Altitude, ground speed, vertical speed, height and engine parameters – generated, among others, from different on-board sources including ISEI Helicom system, Appareo Vision 1000 flight data recorder, and Outerlink IRIS data recorder

  • • External data such as weather data and environmental context (sky coverage, obstacles present at the time of the potential event …)

Customers will benefit from dashboards updated post-flight to automatically detect situations that could have been safer or could have potentially led to an incident or accident. It also performs a confidence check for each event, assessing the reliability of the data.

The output can be used by an organisation’s safety management system to support future decision making.

This service is accessible through our Keycopter Customer portal to all operator types, regardless of their size, safety management system maturity, and fleet composition.
