Eco-index-D

AH Web page Eco index score

Classification

Airbus adopts an ecodesign approach, integrated into the digital product life cycle, involving all stakeholders (architects, developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, etc.).

This strategy aims to reduce environmental impacts while enhancing the performance, resilience, and accessibility of digital services.

It is based on an internal referential of 38 recommendations, tailored to different roles and designed to evolve over time.

[Consult the referential]

Eco Index A icon

VERY GOOD
The page is highly eco-designed: lightweight, few requests, simple DOM. Very low environmental impact.

Eco index B icon

GOOD
The page is well optimized with a good balance between performance and content. Some improvements possible. Low impact.

eco index C icon

AVERAGE
Decent page but could be optimized. Weight, number of requests or DOM complexity can be improved. Moderate impact.

Eco index D icon

POOR
Heavy or poorly structured page. Elements harm performance (e.g. unoptimized images, too many scripts). High impact.

Eco index E icon

BAD
High environmental impact. The design needs major improvements. Too many requests, high weight, overloaded DOM.

Eco index F icon

VERY BAD
Very energy-consuming page. Likely poor user experience and performance. Urgent optimization needed.

eco index G icon

CRITICAL
Maximum environmental impact. The page is extremely heavy and inefficient. Requires complete redesign.

Web page Scoring criteria

The scoring criteria combine technical measurements with ecodesign best practices:

  • Performance & Digital Sobriety: lightweight DOM, minimal HTTP requests, reduced page weight

  • Resource Efficiency: limited data/features, controlled data flow, reduced energy consumption of devices

  • Durability: modularity, reusability, low technical debt
